MOTU MANIA IS HERE!

The liberation of the Mass according to the Roman Missal of 1962 is coming soon, as confirmed by Cardinal Bertone. We have coverage from Rorate Caeli and from Fr. Zuhlsdorf. And these guys have sources. The idea is that it WILL happen. But there is still no definite date, so the Curt Jester Random Motu Proprio Date Generator will remain on our sidebar for the time being. The calendar will not change. Therefore, tomorrow would remain The Second Sunday of The Passion (in addition to Palm Sunday). This will be the Mass in Latin, according to the 1962 Missal, and not the 1965 Vernacular version. It will be the Pope who will officially declare it, and explain his reasoning, motives, etc., to the bishops as well.

With Motu Mania blowing hot and cold, we'll soon see.

Peace,
BMP
