Sunday XVIII at Sacred Heart

In light of the recent sick and twisted killing of Fr. Hamel in France by ISIS, I chose a prelude and postlude in light of that.
In a recent post I made on Facebook, I was debating whether or not I should do La Marseillaise for the postlude this weekend.  Some commenters gave me some really good suggestions.  One suggestion was the tune Iste Confessor (or Rouen, as it is called in The Hymnal 1940).  While it is used mostly with the hymn Only-Begotten, Word of God Eternal, Kathleen Pluth recently composed a translation in light of the recent events.  Another was the hymn Ecce Sacerdos Magnus.  Last year we used the Maximillian Stadler setting of Ecce Sacerdos Magnus upon the entrance of our auxiliary Bishop, the Most Rev. Robert Evans, at our Confirmation.

Therefore...
