Sunday XXI, SS. Dominico Abate e Pietro Martire

This weekend, in addition to the 21st Sunday of Ordered Time, we're at that time in August where our parish honors two patron saints of Fornelli, Italy, birthplace of many of our parish's founders.  The saints are Dominico Abate (Dominic the Abbot) and Pietro Martire (Peter the Martyr).

The brass trio will be on hand for the Saturday Mass (which will be followed by a dinner-dance).

MUSIC FOR HOLY MASS

Ordinary of the Mass:
Saturday: Messa Populare "Laus Tibi Christe" (Caudana)
- Memorial Acclamation will be in Italian, source unknown
Sunday: Heritage Mass (Alstott)
- Gloria will be recited or Holy Angels Mass (BMP)
- Memorial Acclamation also from Holy Angels Mass

Alleluia: Alstott (chant-style, A-flat)

Hymns, etc.
Prelude TBD
For all the saints ("Sine Nomine")
Psalm 117: R./ Go out to all the world, and tell the Good News (BMP)
- This is an adaptation of the Benediction staple, Adoremus in aeternum Sanctissimum Sacramentum, Mode V.  The basic Psalm Tone for the versicles is Tone 5, same as in Adoremus in aeternum.  It should be noted that Psalm 117 is also the Psalm used in both cases (though older hymnals list it as Psalm 116, the numbering from the Veta Vulgata).
By all your saints still striving ("St. Theodulph")
Elevations (Saturday): Fanfare in B-flat (Ferguson) / (Sunday): Improvisation on I cieli immensi (Marcello)
I cieli immensi (Marcello)
Jesus, my Lord, my God, my All ("Sweet Sacrament")
Holy God, we praise thy Name ("Grosser Gott")
Postlude TBD
