SOME NOTES:
1. Reminder that Junior and Senior choir rehearsals are resuming. First Senior Choir rehearsal is Tuesday, September 6, and the first Junior Choir rehearsal is Thursday, September 8. Both are at 6:30 in the church.

2. For the months of September and October, we'll be going back to Peloquin's Mass of the Bells for the Eucharist. We'll also be starting a new Alleluia - the setting found in Worship II (#360) by A. Gregory Murray.

3. For the first time since choir season ended, we're starting a new hymntune to teach. This one is the tune LAUDA ANIMA, which is, textwise, Praise, my soul, the King of heaven. The text used here is based on Psalm 103. The tune is old, but new to the people of Holy Ghost.

I have no problem whatsoever with teaching new hymns to people - especially if they're hymns that should have been in the parish repertoire to begin with. The only time I don't do anything new is during the summer months.
