Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ
at Sacred Heart Church

The brass trio returns this weekend for three of our four Masses, one of them also being First Communion.

MUSIC FOR HOLY MASS

Prelude: Improvisation on the Mode VI Ave Verum
Entrance hymn: Lift up your heads, O mighty gates, "Truro"
Gloria: Messa Populare "Laus Tibi Christe", Federico Caudana
Psalm 110: R./ You are a priest for ever in the line of Melchisedek, Richard Rice (PDF)
Sequence: Ecce Panis Angelorum (7:30: Mode VII; All other Masses: G.B. Polleri)
Alleluia: Chant, Mode VI
Offertory hymn: Alleluia! sing to Jesus, "Hyfrydol"
- Some trivia for you: The tune name Hyfrydol is pronounced "hoverall" (rhymes with "coverall").  This I learned from a parishioner who is well versed with the Welsh language.
Liturgy of the Eucharist: Messa Populare "Laus Tibi Christe", Federico Caudana, and adaptations thereof
Elevation music: Fanfare in B-flat, John Ferguson
Communion anthem: Ave Verum, Camille Saint-Saƫns
Post-Communion hymn: Jesus, my Lord, my God, my All, "Sweet Sacrament"
Recessional hymn: Holy God, we praise thy Name, "Grosser Gott"
Postlude: Improvisation on the Mode V Tantum Ergo
