ONE YEAR AGO TODAY...

...my wife and I quit smoking!

And we're saving (between the both of us) $120 a week because of it (that would probably be $70-80 a week in most states, but since Rhode Island has the highest state tax in the country in many categories, including smokes and gasoline, it's $120 a week).

Peace,
BMP

good for you guys. I quit almost 10 years ago. Cigs were $1.80 then.

Let's see - 10 years ago they were a little over three bucks a pack in RI and MA.

In the fall of 2004, we had gone into Springfield MO (I had an interview there, but was hired by the iPadre once I got back, to work at his parish), and I bought 2 cartons of smokes just off of I-44 halfway through MO for $55.00. Now, up here in RI, it's $55.00 just for ONE carton.
