CHANT SESSION CANCELLED AT N(a)P(al)M

...according to this thread. That is, the N(a)P(al)M convention in Indy this year.

My big $64,000 question is... WHY AM I NOT SURPRISED?

Peace,

I was at NPM, and I didn't hear anything about this. In fact, someone mentioned to me that they knew someone who went to the chant section,(which doesn't necessarily prove anything because they might have not talked to the person afterwards,) but I have yet to hear any solid evidence of this online, so I think it would be best to not spread rumors that we can't verify.

They COULD have cancelled for a couple of good reasons--one, that the instructor was ill and couldn't make it; two, that nobody signed up for it.

Chant has never been popular amongst the NPM circuits. That would justify the second possible reason given by Dad29. Of course Chant is the better-suited music for Holy Mass. However, the ilk of Haugen/Haas/Schutte/Joncas/Landry, etc. is the better sell, of course.

As for spreading rumors, I'm not the one starting the rumor. The link I left in my post is to the source I got it from.
