A New Snark (or Snarkette)

Well we got the best Christmas present ever in our household: we found out the Thursday before Christmas that we are expecting our first baby in June. The radiologist estimates that the sonogram is of a 12-13 week baby. In the photo, Baby is on its back, with the head to the right of the screen. A little hand can be seen in front of the little face.

St. Gerard, pray for us!

PS: Cathedral Choir Members who frequent this blog (and you know who you are), don't say anything to anyone yet. We plan to announce to the choir at the Christmas party on 1/10 at the rectory.

Gratz on the Mini-Snark!

When my godson Matthew saw the ultra-sound of his youngest brother, he said, "It looks like a squirel." The nickname stuck.

Congrats, Nick! How exciting for you. Tell us when you start craving stuff in sympathy with your wife.

I craved dark ale beer with my last pregnancy...and since I couldn't drink, my dutiful husband was good enough to drink the beer for me.

Nick has been trying to reply, but New Blogger/Google is being a pain:

Thanks to all!

Castcantor, when the radiologist was doing the sonogram that produced those photos, she couldn't get her job done because Little One was too busy flailing the arms and kicking the feet. I told my wife, "aww, baby's practicing pedal scales!"

Next sonogram is taken around the beginning of February. I will post the pictures as I get them.
