MUSIC for CLOSING MASS of our PARISH MISSION
at HOLY GHOST CHURCH

Tonight's the last night of our parish mission, and we will be closing with Mass. The Mass of the day will be celebrated.

Introit: LOBE DEN HERREN - Praise to the Lord, the Almighty (Missalette, #132)
Responsorial Psalm: Tone 2 - The Lord remembers his covenant for ever
Gospel Acclamation: Tone 2 - Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ, king of endless glory
Offertory: IN BABILONE - There's a wideness in God's mercy (Music Issue, #423)
Ordinary of the Mass: same as the Sundays of Lent
Communion: Deiss - Grant to us, O Lord
Recessional: DIX - For the beauty of the earth (Music Issue, #542, vv. 1, 4, 5)

This verse of For the beauty of the earth fits quite nicely:
For the Church, that evermore lifts its holy hands above,
Off'ring up on ev'ry shore His pure sacrifice of love,
Lord of all to thee we raise, this our hymn of grateful praise.

The readings and propers pertain mainly to "covenant". This verse from Grant to us, O Lord often comes to mind:
Behold, the days are coming says the Lord our God, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel.

Peace,
BMP
