Hey Nick, what key are you taking St. Elizabeth? For me it's D at 7:30, E-flat at all the other Masses.

Glad to see you like the Swabia harmony. Too bad I don't have it (or Rustington) in the missile or muzak issue.

I usually don't post my prelude or postlude since I come up with that last minute most of the time, but I might just whip out the Rigaudon.

I'm using ST. ELIZABETH straight out of the LBW, so E-flat at all Masses. (Actually in there the tune is called SCHOENSTER HERR JESU). Besides, they need to hit the high E-flats in RUSTINGTON anyway.

Well, SWABIA/Tis Good Lord... is public domain. What's stopping you for running it off for this weekend? I can email you a TIFF of it and you could run it off...

(Also, I forgot to mention your SWABIA harmonization was used at ordinations in June. I orchestrated it for brass, and we played it for the last verse of the recessional.)

Yup - the old We Celebrate books (up through 1990) used the name SCHONSTER HERR JESU as well. Eventually it became ST. ELIZABETH in their books as well.

There is another SCHONSTER HERR JESU tune in Hymnal 1940 ("Fairest Lord Jesus") and 1982 in F minor that's really cool as well.

All y'all may kill me but...

I lead First Vespers for my brothers, and I chose Marty Haugen's setting of Psalm 47 as the opening psalm. I felt the psalm reflected quite nicely the Mass's first reading, and so I used it as a foreshadow for today. I wanted to use something that might not be used at the Mass, and so it was that one.
