MUSIC for the TRANSFIGURATION at HOLY GHOST CHURCH

Ah yes, something that happens only once every five to six years - August 6, the Feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord, falls on a Sunday. As a weekday, this is not a Holy Day of Obligation. However, as a Sunday, it supercedes the numbered Sunday (in this case, 18th) of Ordinary Time.

AUGUST 6, 2006 - TRANSFIGURATION
Saturday 4:30 PM / Sunday 7:30, 9, 10:30 AM

Introit: Alleluia! sing to Jesus! (741/Hyfrydol)
Penitential Rite: parrot the celebrant
Gloria: Mass of the Bells (Peloquin)
Psalm: The Lord is King, the Most High over all the earth (Proulx/Gelineau)
Alleluia: Mode VI
Offertory: Beautiful Savior (28/St. Elizabeth)
Eucharist:
- Sanctus/Agnus: People's Mass (Vermulst)
- Memorial/Amen: Danish
- Lord's Prayer: chanted in English
Communion: This is the feast of victory for our God (597/Festival Canticle)
Recessional: Rejoice! the Lord is King (732/Darwall's 148th)

Peace,
BMP

You did not indicate the name of the author/composer of "Parrot the Celebrant."

Can this be found in Glory & Praise? Worship XXXIIVCC?

"Parrot the Celebrant" was composed for the Beach Mass, a rite composed in 1977 and known formally among the true sacred music elite as the "Sancta Missa Jimmy Buffett"

I'm sorry you're so far away, I would love to hear that Mass.
