Just stumbled onto your site. Cool...Catholic musicians who know what the hell they're supposed to be doing at Mass. I love it!
I see you played a little diddy by Flor Peeters. I heard a sister play a number by him called "Monastic Piece" and I absolutely loved it. I wanted to weep and roll around on the floor of the church it was just so heavenly.
I looked all over for the sheet music and never did find it. Any suggestions?
Also, can you suggest any really good recordings of awesome organ music? I don't want the minor chord "Phantom of the Opera" sounding stuff but the sweet melodies that make you think there MUST be a God. And I want a high quality recording, not something I have to crank the volume to hear the quiet parts. Much appreciated.

I'll have to think about that one, because honestly I don't have much in the way of organ recordings. I only buy them to hear specific pieces that I am learning. My latest purchase, that you may be interested in, is "Le Chemin de la Croix" by Marcel Dupre, played by Ben van Oosten on the Cavaille-Coll at St. Ouen. It's a series of musical meditations on the 14 Stations of the Cross. I will be performing it in its entirety in March. My choral recording library is much more extensive. I recommend "Lauridsen: Lux Aeterna", recorded by the LA Master Chorale, Paul Salamunovich conducting.

Sounds like some heavy duty stuff there.
I have a CD (at which you would probably laugh) by the St. Olaf mixed chorus. It's a Christmas recording titled "What Wondrous Love". I love that CD! There are places where they sing so quietly - but still in perfect tune - that I have to crank the volume. I like to listen to it when I walk at night. The beauty of the human voice and the intricate harmonies, under a clear, starry sky, make me feel close to God. I want more CD's like that.
