Just printed it out. Off to play it now.
Congratulations.
I see that you did not ask for comments, but I think that the extended notes off the initial attacks require superior breath support and emphasize less-important text. How about 3/4 time? This would necessitate the following changes -- besides a possible change in tempo.
First seven phrases:
1. Tied half-eighths to dotted quarters
2. Dotted halves to halves.
Last phrase:
1. Dotted quarter to eighth
2. Quarter ("cause") to half
3. Tied half-whole to dotted half
What do you think?
Thanks much, Daniel. You'd have to see the accompaniment, however, to see what I was hearing in four. ;)
Peace,

Ha, fair enough.
In 3/4 I heard an opening "1 + 2 3" bass rhythm. I only heard "1 2 3 4" in common time, with an ascending bass like the first measure of the principle theme in Rowley's Benedictus.
Anyhow, thanks for entertaining the idea.
