RED SOX TAKE YANKEE STADIUM BY STORM

Final score tonight:

RED SOX 14, YANKEES 3

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOO!
By the fifth inning, after the Gonzalez homer, I was breaking out the all-purpose laughing cat!

Winning pitcher: Josh Beckett
Losing pitcher: Randy Johnson (his first failure against Boston that I know of)

Great way to start the series in New York! Go Sox!

Peace,
BMP

And the Phils are on a 9-game winning streak, beating the Mets 5-4 last night on an error by the Mets pitcher.

(18-14, 2nd NL East)

Go Phils! They HAD to come around sometime! Only they play Boston in a couple of weeks.

Yeah, and the series is already sold out. All home games against BOS and NYY are sold out...you have to purchase a package of 1 NYY or BOS game, and 2 other home games of your choice. They scraped by the Mets on an error last night. Not so sure about tonight.

And Philadelphia fans, regardless of sport, are very bitter and rowdy. Fans had the following banner up during last week's series with SF (intended for Barry Bonds): "Ruth did it with beer and hotdogs. Aaron did it with class. How did you do it?" And loud choruses of booing when Bonds would come to bat.

Speaking of bitter fans, did you see the t-shirt made for Johnny Damon when they played at Fenway 2 weeks ago?

I heard about the Bonds banner. I didn't see the Damon thing. Wait - was it something about DAMON-EY? (da-money)

BMP,
Maybe they're referring to the
'Looks like Jesus, Acts like Judas, Throws like Mary' thing.

:(
