HELEN HULL HITCHCOCK on iPADRE

Two weeks ago (3/10/06), Helen Hull Hitchcock of the Adoremus Society and Women for Faith and Family came to Holy Ghost Church and spoke on Liturgical Music.

Now you can hear the talk given by Mrs. Hitchcock in its entirety on iPadre Catholic Podcasting, which is hosted by Fr. Jay Finelli, my pastor and boss. It's Episode #15. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Peace,
BMP

Wow. That was really good. I really liked the part at the end when she was talking about John Paul the Great's funeral. Very very moving and convincing. It should be required listening for all.

I personally like the line she had given about publishers frowning on the use of music in the public domain.

You're absolutely right - it should be required listening - especially if you are involved in ministry.

Last year Mrs. Hitchcock came and gave a talk called "Liturgy - What's With all the Changes?" Of course, at that time neither Fr. or I were podcasting yet. In fact, I had never heard of it till about four months later.

Incidentally, Fr. had told me last year - progressives like to call her "Helen HELL Hitchcock".

Peace,
